US: The Spiritual Embodiment

Its been a while since I wrote here. the reason is very simple. It’s been a long time and the website although assessed around the world did not generate the traction which I was looking for. The much-awaited article on the quintessential spirit of America is still remaining. To share a perspective, over the last 50 years, the US has played a very important part in the rise of spiritual wave around the world apart from the important role played by Canada and some countries in Europe. I will explore this part of the US in series of articles going forward.

Social Impact

Hello Everyone

Greetings !!!

I was writing an article on Social Impact which would have been based on substance abuse but decided against it. I have been very busy with work and decided to write another article on Social Impact which would be more general and not very specific. I would have to restart my research again and this could take some time. Intermittently I would be posting smaller articles based on social causes over the coming month.

The Middle Road

Thequinessentialdude.com is now themiddleroad.org. Going further, the domain name thequintessentialdude.com will be removed.

I have been busy of late so not been able to write for some time. An article on Social Impact is pending and should be out by end of this week. There would be fewer articles since I need to reorganize my priorities. Stay tuned for more news…Blog hits a new milestone with almost 19,000 hits worldwide.

Happy Raksha Bandhan Day

Today is Raksha Bandhan Day in India. Sisters tie a Rakhi on brother’s hand which is a symbolic tie of love and respect between brothers and sisters. It means a solemn promise on behalf of the brother to protect his sister. (Raksha means to protect in Hindi). The new innovation in Rakhi is an online tech Rakhi which my sister sent me yesterday.

Mindfulness: The Craving Mind: Facebook, Smartphones and Pink Floyd

I did my own mindfulness experiment with Facebook, Smartphone, and Pink Floyd. I would be writing about the experience.

Reading a book The Craving Mind. Thanks to someone I met recently for recommending me the book. It’s a mix of mindfulness and neuroscience and a very interesting read.   A review of this book will surely be coming with my own personal experimentations with the truth.

A captured retinue of people were awaiting the leader of the warlord for discussion with regards to their well-being. There were terrified and very anxious about their future. They huddled close to each other and look pensively at their Master. Master was huge, well-built and looked lovingly at his followers. He smiled and joked and said all is fine. His followers were stunned by his mental calmness and superlative demeanor.  The leader of the warlord called the Master and the Master with an equanimous mind met with the warlord. Continue reading
